Christine Cox

Christine Cox co-founded BalletX, Philadelphia’s premier contemporary ballet, with Matthew Neenan in 2005. Under her leadership as Artistic & Executive Director, the BalletX team has produced over 100 world premiere ballets by renowned and emerging choreographers from around the world and toured at prestigious international venues including Vail Dance Festival, The Joyce Theater, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, New York City Center, and Belgrade Dance Festival.

Associate Artistic Director

Tara Keating

Tara Keating began her training at the age of seven at the Pioneer Valley Ballet in Northampton, Massachusetts. She then attended The Juilliard School, under the direction of Benjamin Harkarvy, where she received a BFA in Dance. While there, she was awarded the Jerome L. Greene Fellowship and the Most Outstanding Dance Major award from the National Dance Association. She has danced professionally with the American Repertory Ballet, “Tharp!” and as a soloist with the Pennsylvania Ballet.

Keelan Whitmore

Keelan Whitmore, a native of Rockford, Illinois, trained at Rockford Dance Company, Joffrey Ballet School/New School University, Interlochen Arts Academy, and St. Mary’s College, where he received his Bachelor of Arts and was awarded the Dean’s Professional Student Award. From 2001-2006 he danced with Kansas City Ballet, and in 2006 he became a member of the Suzanne Farrell Ballet. As a choreographer and educator, Whitmore has worked with numerous national and international arts organizations.

Megan O'Donnell

Megan O’Donnell graduated from Drexel University. She has studied nonprofit management at LaSalle University and leadership training with Arts & Business Council and Young Involved Philadelphia.

Jason Pizzi

Jason Pizzi graduated from Penn State University. He has worked with Arden Theatre Company, Opera Philadelphia, Cirque du Soleil, Madison Square Garden, and People’s Light, among many others.

Brian Grannan

Brian Grannan is a former dancer who has taught gymnastics, dance, skiing, and motorcycling. He was the skiing mascot for Mammoth Mountain while also working in production and marketing for Netflix.

major gifts officer

James Ihde

James Ihde received his dance training at the Dance Institute of the University of Akron. He was invited to join the Pennsylvania Ballet as an apprentice for the 1993/1994 season, and was promoted to soloist in 2003.

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Brittani Kelly

Brittani is a former ballet dancer and graduated from Albright College. She has worked in development at UPenn and UC San Diego and is the Co-Founder of Live Life Like Lois Foundation.

Marketing Manager

Rachel Core

Rachel Core is musician who graduated from Temple University with a degree in Trombone Performance. Prior to joining BalletX in 2022, she held various roles in the real estate industry.

Abby Clark

Abby Clark graduated from George Mason University with a BA in Art History. She worked as a Rigging Grip on productions for AppleTV and HBO, as well as various commercials, before joining BalletX in 2023.

Li Tian Trick

Li Tian Trick graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Painting and pursued digital media studies as a visual artist prior to joining the BalletX team in 2022.

Alisa Moore

Alisa attended Holy Family University where she pursued her studies in psychology. Her academic journey sparked a profound passion for non-profits and outreach programs, driving her commitment to making a positive impact on communities. Having cherished a love for dance since childhood, Alisa is dedicated to making this expressive art form accessible to all. Her mission is to spread the joy and benefits of dance, fostering inclusivity and empowerment through movement.

Morgan Cruise

Morgan Cruise is a graduate of the Baltimore School for the Arts and is currently a Junior Dance/Movement Therapy Major at Drexel University. She is a dancer, choreographer, mentor, RP Artist, and small business owner of YarnOverLadybug.
