From 2009 to 2015, she served as Choreographer in Residence at Ballet Ireland, where she created more than five full-length ballets, including Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet, and Carmen.
In partnership with Jessica Wright, Runacre-Temple directs and choreographs dance films. Their credits include The Try Out for Channel 4’s RANDOM ACTS, The Last Resort (English National Ballet & TATE Liverpool), and Curing Albrecht (English National Ballet & Manchester International Festival, available on BBC iPlayer). Curing Albrecht won Best Film at the National Rural Dance Film Festival in 2018 and Best Director at the Portland Dance Film Festival.
Runacre-Temple also works extensively as a movement director and choreographer in opera and theatre, collaborating with directors including Jaz Woodcock-Stewart (Civilization), Sam Brown (The Barber of Seville, Welsh National Opera), and Jeff James (Persuasion, Royal Exchange), and assisting choreographer Annie-B Parson on Enda Walsh and David Bowie’s musical Lazarus, directed by Ivo van Hove.
As a performer, she has danced with Ballet Ireland, English National Ballet, Rosie Kay Dance Company, and the Curve Foundation. She trained at Central School of Ballet and London Contemporary Dance School and was a recipient of the DanceEast Rural Retreat Award for Future Dance Leaders (2016–17).
