James Ihde, former soloist with Pennsylvania Ballet, teaches the fundamental building blocks of a traditional ballet barre to provide a challenging workout that will help build strength, flexibility, balance, and body awareness. Whether you are a complete beginner, or have extensive dance training, this class will offer you a unique fitness experience while exploring the ballet vocabulary. This open class consists of a light stretching/warm-up routine followed by a challenging ballet barre that uses repetition to build muscular strength and endurance. All exercises are mirrored by the instructor for easy learning, and modifications for all bodies and comfort levels are welcomed. Whatever your age or experience this class is for you!
