Alyssandra Docherty (www.alyssandradocherty.com) is a Philadelphia-based lighting designer originally from Vernon, New Jersey. After graduating from DeSales University, she continued her training as an apprentice at Goodspeed Musicals in Connecticut. She then spent five seasons as the Lighting Supervisor at Philadelphia Theatre Company. Since 2013 she has been touring internationally as the Associate Lighting Designer with Koresh Dance Company, and in 2017 she began touring with BalletX as their Lighting Supervisor. Aly’s designs have been seen at Delaware Theatre Company, Virginia Stage Company, Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers, and Brian Sanders’ JUNK. Her work has been recognized with Barrymore and Ostrander Award nominations in Philadelphia and Memphis, respectively.
