Morgann Runacre-Temple is a choreographer from London working in dance, theatre, film, and opera. Works include Averno (Stuttgart Ballet); Hotel Birmingham (Royal Ballet); Kingdom of Back (Northern Ballet); Romeo & Juliet, Carmen, and Nutcracker (Ballet Ireland); Wolf (Oper Graz, Alberta Ballet); Coppelia and Tremble (Scottish Ballet), Give my Love to the Sunrise (English National Ballet), Barbara (Ballet du Capitole).
She also works as a movement director and choreographer in opera and theatre with directors including Jaz Woodcock Stewart (Civilization), Sam Brown (The Barber of Seville, WNO), Jeff James (Persuasion, Royal Exchange), and assisted choreographer Annie B Parsons on Enda Walsh and David Bowie’s musical Lazarus, directed by Ivo van Hove.
Morgann trained at Central School of Ballet and London Contemporary Dance School and is a recipient of Dance East Rural Retreat Award for Future Dance Leaders 16/17.
Together with Jessica Wright, Morgann directed Scottish Ballet’s first feature film The Secret Theatre, which was awarded Best Dance Film at the Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards 2021. ‘JESS AND MORGS’ were nominated by the Critics’ Circle at the 2021 National Dance Awards for Outstanding Creative Contribution.
Morgann’s and Jessica’s production of Coppelia for Scottish Ballet won Best Classical Choreography at Critics Circle Awards 2023, the Achievement in Dance UK Theatre Awards 2023 and was Nominated for Best Dance Production at Sky Arts South Bank Awards 2023.
