BalletX, led by Artistic & Executive Director Christine Cox, and named “among America’s best” by The New York Times, is thrilled to kick off the company’s 2019-20 season of Pop Up performances at FringeArts–Philadelphia’s home for contemporary performance, and a beacon of progressive, world-class art that expands the imagination and boldly defies expectation. The season-opening Pop Up will take place in the Haas Beirgarten at FringeArts’ state-of-the-art venue on the Delaware River Waterfront—a renovated historic building that also houses La Peg Restaurant & Bar. BalletX Pop Ups provide opportunities to experience signature company repertory and new works by the BalletX dancers themselves in parks, museums, libraries, historical sites, and other community centers across Philadelphia.
Free and open to the public, BalletX Pop Ups are generously supported by the William Penn Foundation’s New Places/New Audiences initiative.
