On June 8 – 19, 2020, 20 pre-professional dance students joined our Virtual Summer Intensive from across the country. The experience exceeded our expectations and propelled us to offer it again this winter & summer! Students took classes with Artistic & Executive Director Christine Cox, Associate Artistic Director Tara Keating, artistic staff, and company dancers, learning BalletX Repertory, diving deep into their personal dance practice, and generating choreography with BalletX collaborators.
Our participants loved our one-on-one attention, in-depth professional development discussions, and feeling supported in a community. Dancers reported having felt seen and heard by our artistic staff and empowered to utilize new ideas and approaches in their dance journeys.
