Jacob Brunner is a musician, educator, and record producer from Philadelphia. He is a classically-trained pianist and percussionist and self-taught guitarist and bassist. As an undergrad at Columbia University, he studied ethnomusicology, composition, and music production. From 2017-2025, he taught instrumental music and beat-making in the Belmont Charter School OST program. For over 20 years, he has recorded and performed his own music and been a session/touring musician for many other artists, including Weyes Blood and Karl Blau. In addition to his work with Dance eXchange, he composes music for film and theater and provides audio engineering services for artists around the world.
