Kristen Smith attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, earning a BFA in Dance and a minor in Musical Theater. She continued her professional career by dancing for the Roxey Ballet Company in New Jersey and performing at various regional theaters to expand her musical repertoire. Kristen has served as a dance captain, choreographer, director, and instructor in elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and universities throughout the Philadelphia and New Jersey areas, most recently teaching at her alma mater, the University of the Arts. She continues her dance education through training and conferences from the East Coast to California. Her passion is to serve the Philadelphia community by nurturing the next generation of dancers. Kristen is excited to share her high energy and love of dance with BalletX’s Dance eXchange program this coming year.
