Meet BalletX’s Young Patrons Circle

Launched this past October, BalletX’s Young Patrons Circle (YPC) is the new way to experience ballet—up close, after hours, and with a community of friends.

Through post-show gatherings, events at the BalletX studio, and opportunities to connect directly with the artists who bring our work to life, YPC transforms nights at the theater into shared experiences, and audiences into a vibrant, growing community.

The season kicked off with a special launch party at BOK Bar, featuring a pop-up performance by BalletX company dancers and a vibrant, playful energy that set the tone for the season: unexpected experiences, real connections, and seeing ballet in a whole new way.

Since then, YPC members have enjoyed discounted tickets to BalletX’s 20th Anniversary Gala, attended a YPC Afterparty during our 20th Anniversary Retrospective, and most recently gathered for an intimate evening following the premiere of Petrushka, BalletX’s collaboration with Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, that brought members together with PCMS’s Young Friends group for great conversation alongside complimentary food and cocktails at Leo.

“As a dancer, getting to meet our YPC members after shows and at events has given me a unique opportunity to connect with our young patrons and build lasting friendships!”

What’s Coming Up!

Next on the calendar: Barre & Bar on February 20! This YPC signature event kicks off with a beginner-friendly ballet class taught by BalletX dancers Eli Alford and Itzkan Barbosa—no prior dance experience required. After class, members will head to a nearby spot to keep the conversation going and unwind together in a relaxed, social setting.

Then join us for YPC Night at BalletX’s Spring Series 2026 on Friday, March 20! Enjoy the discounted tickets to the performance, then stay for our signature YPC Afterparty hosted right at the theater. With music playing and specialty drinks by 13th Street Cocktails in hand, members and BalletX dancers will gather to mingle, swap stories, and really get to know one another. It’s social, energetic, and one of the best ways to experience the BalletX community beyond the stage.

And this is just the start! More pop-ups, surprises, studio events, and behind-the-scenes moments are coming all season long, giving YPC members even more ways to connect through dance and community.

“Being part of YPC has been incredibly meaningful to me, giving me a sense of community and allowing me to connect more deeply with art I already enjoy.”
— Gabriella Ford, YPC Member

If you want to see BalletX differently, connect with dancers, and be part of a creative community, then YPC is your place. Come for the dance, stay for the fun!
