Maslow’s Peak

Jennifer Archibald’s Maslow’s Peak fuses ballet with street and contemporary dance to explore power, control, and the struggle for self-actualization. Inspired by Lord of the Flies, the work reimagines the novel’s themes for a 21st-century audience, offering a bold, cautionary tale that reflects today’s social dynamics. Set to a striking original score, Maslow’s Peak invites us to examine how we relate to one another—through conflict, cooperation, and ultimately, hope.

Major Support for “Maslow’s Peak” was provided by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage, with additional support and partnership from Proof Productions, National Endowment for the Arts, and TD Charitable Foundation.
