Sojourner

Gregory Dawson’s Sojourner is a powerful exploration of jazz as both a musical and emotional force. Blending ancestral rhythms with contemporary movement, the work transforms dancers into instruments, inviting them to move with the music rather than to it. A vibrant, richly textured piece, Sojourner celebrates the spirit of jazz as a collaborative, immersive journey of listening, learning, and expressive freedom.
