The Bardo of Beautiful Mess

“The word ‘bardo’ in a Tibetan Buddhist context denotes any situation where change is consistently occurring, including our everyday normal reality. Centered around a mythical figure that is part benevolent deity and part trickster, and utilizing a cast of characters as bizarre and beautiful as any you might encounter on the streets, this dance work is a celebration of the absurdity and profundity of the conditions to which we are subject while inhabiting this plane of existence, as well as an invitation to transcend our personal notions of self in relation to the broader workings of the universe.” -R. Colby Damon
