Fall Series 2019
Dec 4-15

Matthew Neenan, choreographer and co-founder of BalletX, will collaborate with composers Rosie Langabeer (Sunset, o639 Hours) and Tara Middleton (Sun Ra Arkestra) on a world premiere ballet influenced by the many moods of the holiday season. Inspired by Shaun Tan’s children’s book The Red Tree, the new work will feature set design by Maiko Matsushima.

Jo Strømgren, Artistic Director of Jo Strømgren Kompani and Associate Choreographer of Norwegian National Ballet, as well as regular FringeArts creator, is back for his second world premiere on BalletX. His new piece, set to the music of composer/saxophonist Mette Henriette, will probe the mysteries of the universe, setting contemporary ballet against a backdrop of outer space and astronaut suits.
