Matthew Neenan
The interplay of light and dark form the backdrop for a tribute to the life of a dear friend. When Toni Hamilton passed away after a battle with Alzheimer’s, Neenan was entrusted with a collection of her manuscripts, introducing him to a side of his friend he never knew in life and inspiring this meditation on creativity, memory, and the unbreakable human spirit.
Annabelle Lopez Ochoa
The journey of a lone man into the world of surrealist artist René Magritte, encompassing skyscapes of bowler hats, apples, and windows where the dancers interact with what’s real, and not-so-real. Ochoa’s abstract and virtuosic movement creates what she calls “constructed chaos,” a compelling counterpoint to Magritte’s canvas of mysterious poetic objects.
