10 Questions with Savannah Green

Savannah, if you could be any animal, what would it be?

I’ve always loved seals. I’m obsessed with their floppy little bodies, and how nice would it be to just lounge on beaches all day?

Where in the world do you want to visit?

One of my favorite places in the world is London, England! The city is so quaint, and I love that it is steeped in history and incredible art.

What are some hobbies you enjoy when you’re not dancing?

I love to go horseback riding with family and exploring all the charming parts of Philadelphia.

If you could only eat three foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a total peanut butter enthusiast! So peanut butter is at the top of my list, followed by bananas and homemade shakshuka.

If you could be an Olympic athlete, what sport would you compete in?

I always wanted to be a rhythmic gymnast when I was younger, so I would definitely try that.

If you were guaranteed to be successful in a different profession, what would you do?

I would love to be an author. There’s such magic in well-crafted storytelling!

What is your favorite book?

I have a few favorite books: Hollywood Park by Mikel Jollett, White Noise by Don DeLillo, and Famous Father Girl by Jamie Bernstein.

What is one of your pet peeves?

I don’t know why, but whistling has always irked me.

What is your favorite Philadelphia landmark?

There’s nothing like Philadelphia City Hall! The first time I came to visit Philly, I stayed really close to City Hall, and it always helped me orient myself when I inevitably got lost. I just love how powerful the building feels.

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

I think everyone should be up early enough to see the sunrise at least once. There’s something so peaceful about beginning your day quietly in tandem with the sun.
