Christine Cox co-founded BalletX, America’s premier contemporary ballet company, with Matthew Neenan in 2005. The BalletX team has produced over 100 world premiere ballets by nearly 60 renowned and emerging choreographers to date, reaching more than 150,000 dance patrons.
Tara Keating began her training at the age of seven at Pioneer Valley Ballet in Northampton, Massachusetts. She received her BFA in Dance at the Juilliard School, under the direction of Benjamin Harkarvy.
Associate Director of Operations
Megan O’Donnell graduated from Drexel University. She has taken leadership courses with Arts & Business Council and Young Involved Philadelphia, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy from Temple University.
Production & Stage Manager
Jason Pizzi graduated from Penn State University. He has worked with Arden Theatre Company, Opera Philadelphia, Cirque du Soleil, Madison Square Garden, and People’s Light, among many others.
James Ihde received his dance training at the Dance Institute of the University of Akron. He was invited to join the Pennsylvania Ballet as an apprentice for the 1993/1994 season, and was promoted to soloist in 2003.
Shannon Hennessey graduated from Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communications, and worked at Slice Communications in social media and public relations before joining BalletX in 2021.
Dance eXchange Coordinator
Barnel Anderson graduated from University of the Arts, and has served as a Dance eXchange teaching artist since 2019 after completing training with National Dance Institute.
Kereni Sanchez graduated from University of the Arts with a degree in Directing, Playwriting, and Production and Stage and Production Management before joining BalletX in 2021.
Administrative & Box Office Coordinator
Emily Bernard graduated from University of the Arts, and was a longtime BalletX intern before joining the company fulltime in 2021. She holds certificates in Nonprofit Management and Fundraising from La Salle University.
