Meet Daniel Madoff

Cinematographer

After a career as a professional dancer with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, Daniel switched gears and became a film director, editor, and cinematographer. He has since worked on video content for Bacardi, BMW, Anheuser-Busch, Dewars, Gillette, LinkedIn, Grey Goose Vodka, Swarovski, The New York Times, BBC America, Bank of America, People Magazine, Michelob Ultra, Johns Hopkins University, Princeton University, Hunter College, East Carolina University, SUNY Purchase, Celebrity Series of Boston/Christian McBride, BalletX, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Merce Cunningham Trust, Trisha Brown Dance Company, BRIC Arts Media, among others. His films have been viewed in festivals all over the world and have won several awards. His documentary, August Pace: 1989-2019 was presented at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. A film he created to honor Jasper Johns’ 90th birthday was presented by the Whitney Museum of American Art and Philadelphia Museum of Art in conjunction with their exhibit, Jasper Johns: Mind / Mirror.
